Acrylic Paint on Canvas

This painting examines memory, identity, and caregiving in the context of dementia. Presented as a dual perspective, one reflects questions directed towards those experiencing the disease, while the latter interrogates the perceptions and reactions of the caregivers. The work considers how cognitive decline reshapes communication, autonomy, and relational dynamics, revealing tensions between care, frustration, and empathy. By exploring these parallel viewpoints, the work highlights the delicate negotiation required to sustain connection, understanding, and compassion when identity and memory are in flux.
