Red Wave

This painting examines belief, influence, and the dynamics of questioning authority within a politically charged environment. Growing up in a small conservative town, I experienced firsthand how challenging widely held beliefs often leads to isolation and pushback. The work explores how asking difficult questions alone can feel futile, while collective inquiry creates space for dialogue and reflection. It considers the tension between inherited ideology and personal morality, showing how engagement and collective questioning can help navigate and understand deeply held beliefs.
