Contained Rage

This sculpture explores inherited anger, the struggle to contain it, and how it shapes identity. The red rectangle around the mouth symbolizes the words that emerge despite efforts to control them, reflecting patterns passed down and the challenge of self-mastery. By painting the head black and isolating the mouth, the work emphasizes the intensity of emotion and the tension between internal restraint and outward expression. It examines how inherited behaviors influence who we are, how we communicate, and how identity is negotiated through both what we contain and what we release.
